About Us
The Bridger Creek dream began in the early 80’s with discussions between Dane Gamble, Rex Easton and Paul Boylan, about building a public golf course on Boylan’s land adjacent to Bridger Creek. It was a wonderful dream but a daunting task. Countless obstacles were overcome to create vibrant neighborhoods and a challenging public golf course. The front 9 debuted in July of 1994, the Back 9 was constructed and seeded that same summer and opened in 1995.
One of Montana’s most active golf courses
While the views of the Bridger Mountains and unpredictable Bridger Creek are lovely, it is the activity on the golf course that helps to energize the Bozeman community. Supporting local fundraising for groups like THRIVE and Hope and the Holidays and supporting veterans through PGA-HOPE lesson programs, golfers become positively engaged for good causes.
We’re proud of having hosted two U.S. Amateur qualifiers, Big I and Rocky Mountain Section PGA national junior qualifiers, as well as many state and regional championships. But tournament competitions are just a small part of our golf season energy.
Teaching people the great game of golf is a major focus. Montana’s only Nike camps, the summer long junior academy, turf mites, pee wees and our adult group lesson programs add up to the largest teaching program in Montana. All these programs are taught by our two PGA professionals and two PGA apprentices. The teaching is done at our own Rocky Mountain Golf Academy the Northwest’s premier short game and full shot practice facility.
Outside of golf, lending the course to MSU and Bozeman High schools x-country meets and the Bridger Nordic Ski Foundation for thousands of skiers to use during the winter is gratifying to everyone at Bridger Creek.
